Scotia Grendel Vulcan 20mm AA (UM0068)

American stationary anti-aircraft guns, another thing I bought by accident while not paying attention trying to buy some M163s. Actually has crisper barrel detail than the Scotia M163 VADS, maybe they use the mould less often? Might use them as part of an objective or something, but aren't all that useful for TY.

H&R A-10 Warthog

American air support for Team Yankee from Heroics and Ros. The shape looks good and fairly accurate, but there are some bumps and vents absent which leaves the sides and top of the body looking very smooth, but otherwise its pretty good. I bought 4 of these, a few of them had a fair bit of flash around the engines and one of them was a bit miscast, but as it was on the bottom It didnt bother me too much. Overall its pretty good, but not as nice as their Frogfoot model imo.

H&R F-22 Raptor

Not Cold War or Team Yankee but would work for a modern scenario in games like FFoT. Looks nice when painted, but the model is quite plain and there isnt really much detail on the top, not that the F-22 has all that much, but there are little vents and stuff on top and it would have been nice to have some panels to highlight. The angles of the air intakes next to the nose did look slight different too, but 2 minutes of filing and they were fine.

Scotia Grendel M901 ITV

Improved TOW vehicle from Scotia grendel. Launcher and track detail all looks good, my only gripe with it can be seen from the top as the model looks slightly warped, like the kind of warping you get if you apply pressure to the sides of a silicon mold before the resin inside cures fully, or like the driver is going really fast and going full Initial D round a hairpin. Other than that a nice model, I also bought some TOW LAVs which could be used as an alternative, I'll get round to those soon.

Heroics and Ros F117 Stealth

Classic Gulf War plane that everyone liked as a kid because it was black, cool and had "stealth" in the name, introduced in early 83 so still suitable for Cold-war-gone-hot scenarios. The edges are a little soft and the whole plane looks a little smooth compared to the angular monster that is the real aircraft, but on the whole a nice model.
The weapon loadout of the F117 isnt very close to the A-10 (a single GBU-27 Paveway III compared to several AGM-65 Maverick and the BRRRT-gun), so I'm not sure how well it would work as a proxy in Team Yankee.

Scotia Grendel McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II

A pair of Scotia Grendel F-4 Phantom II, Kurnass, Peace Pheasants, Peace Rhine or whatever else it has been named by the countries it is in service with. Again, very nice model, had some minor pitting on the side but other than that its all good. No weapons as with most of Scotia's aircraft, but that's not a deal-breaker for me.

Scotia Grendel A-4 Skyhawk

Tail was a little rough and I didn't do an especially good job of filing it down, but other than that a nice model. Bought 2 of these guys and Im planning to use them as a proxy for A-10s when Im running my guys as USMC.

Scotia Grendel VADS

Vulcan minigun-equipped air defense for the Americans. Separate turret is a nice touch, but I recommend magnetising it or it will get lost for sure. Gun barrels are sculpted slightly rather than the gun just being a solid tube which looks good if you highlight them a little.

M1A1 Command Tank

Scotia M1A1 Abrams modified so I can recognise it as an HQ/command tank at tabletop distance. Again a nice model, the M1A1 has a larger, separate cupola MG than the regular M1s, im not sure why that is.

Team Yankee Americans

Got some of the US stuff painted up, we've got the M1 Abrams, the M109A2 and some M113s, all from Scotia Grendel. I'll go into more detail later and perhaps photograph them on a better backdrop instead of lazily plonked on my wet-pallet, but this should give you a general idea of what they're like for now.

Scotia Grendel F-15 Eagle

Scotia Grendel F-15 Eagle, pretty large model for only £1.50, detail looks good and you get a nice large canvas for any modulation you want have a go at. No decals on it because I dont have any.
